2026 Key Tip
The five outermost planets will all be in fire or air signs from the second half of 2026, which places a great weight on the masculine signs of the zodiac this year. This can be an extremely productive and expressive period. With a lack of feminine energy, grounding activities, like spending time in nature, can be even more beneficial than usual. This way we can find balance and process the artificial digital age of Air that is moving in so quickly.
2026 Astrological Events
The astrological configurations that occur seasonally, annually, or even less frequently, illustrate the backdrop of our lives for the long term future. Such configurations are eclipses and the activity of the slower moving planets.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto All Change Signs For Good
The three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will all finally settle into new zodiac signs and set the scene for the long term future. The effects will be slow and steady to develop, but when they make exact aspects they can bring noticeable events. Since January 2024, these planets have been moving between signs, offering previews of what’s to come. Pluto has been firmly in Aquarius since November 2024, and on 26th January 2025, Neptune moves into Aries and on 26th April 2025 Uranus enters Gemini. Uranus and Pluto in the air signs of Gemini and Aquarius will likely bring many technological developments. Whilst idealistic Neptune entering Aries may usher in the dream of a fresh utopia.
Jupiter Enters Leo
On 30th June, Jupiter will move out of Cancer, his sign of exaltation and enter Leo where it he will transit for one year. This is a big change for Jupiter, as he looses some of his special powers upon moving into Leo. Jupiter is still quite happy in the fire sign of Leo, as he rules over the fiery triplicity by night, so themes of growth, generosity and purpose will remain relevant throughout 2026. However, these themes become more stabilised as Leo is a fixed sign. We have the opportunity to grow a strong and solid sense of purpose in certain areas of our lives. We can also expect growth in topics and areas related to Leo, such as royalty, grand public places and inaccessible locations where wild animals roam.
Saturn Conjoins Neptune
On 14th February Saturn enters Aries where he will transit for two years. Aries is Saturn’s sign of fall, which puts him in his weakest position of the zodiac. On 20th February, Saturn will conjoin Neptune, which he does every 30 years or so, but the last time this conjunction occurred in Aries was 1703. This particular conjunction is special because it occurs on the very first degree of Aries, the first sign, which gives way to some major new beginnings. Saturn is the planet of boundaries and establishments, whilst Neptune is the planet which dissolves and blurs lines. Their conjunction suggests established systems can fall, and encourages us to redevelop and redefine the boundaries and structures in certain areas of our lives.
Uranus Sextiles Neptune, Uranus Trines Pluto
When the outer planets aspect each other, their chimes ring out slowly, creating deep shockwaves that echo through the solar system. Their effects aren’t often sudden, but are instead slow to brew and long lasting. On 15th July, Uranus in Gemini will sextile Neptune in Aries, triggering the pioneering Aries energy. Then, on 18th July, Uranus will trine Pluto in Aquarius, bringing fresh developments in the age of air that started back in 2020 with the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. We can expect technological changes to continue, and innovations in the way we communicate and store information. As the outermost planet, Pluto is associated with the ultimate power force, and its trine with Uranus in Gemini shows its cooperation with these radical technological shifts.
