2025 will be a year of movement and change. The Lunar Nodes, Rahu and Ketu, will also move signs as they do every 18 months and our karmic healing moves forward into new territory. Jupiter will offer growth and opportunity as it shifts into its exaltation of Cancer. Whilst Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will all briefly change signs providing a preview of the changes to come.

The North Node will move into Pisces and the South Node into Virgo on 11th January where they will transit until 27th July 2026. The Lunar Nodes are the two opposite points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic of the Sun, in Jyotisa they are known as Rahu and Ketu. This is important because the eclipses will now occur across these signs. Eclipses in Pisces will amplify themes related to water and the sea, whilst Virgo will amplify themes related to agriculture and whatever is sown from seed. 

Venus will be retrograde from 2nd March - 13th April. This will be a bumpy ride for Venus as she starts out strong, backtracking in her exaltation of Pisces and then arrives back into Aries, her sign of detriment. Whilst Venus is technically debilitated whilst retrograde, our experiences of it can be quite favourable as it offers us a change to revisit and rekindle all Venusian themes. Relationships, art, music, beauty, enjoyment and pleasure can all be revitalised in some way. Topics related to women in general can take a plot twist that hopefully works out favourable in the end. 

There will be a shift in focus and we can expect events related to heat, fire, sandy places and newly worked land as Neptune and Saturn dip their toes into Aries. Neptune will transit Aries briefly from 30th March - 22nd October before settling in Aries for 12 years from January 2026. This is highlighted by Saturn also transiting Aries briefly from 25th May - 1st September before settling in Aries in February 2026 for about 2 years. 

From April until November the outer planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus will be in and out of aspect with one another as they change zodiac signs. We can expect surprising changes on a global scale, which can offer a preview into the bigger changes to come over the following years. These events can be noticed in weather patterns, changes in global power structures and technological advances. Out of these planets, the most interesting aspect to me will be the rare Uranus Neptune sextile which will occur three times; 29th August, 20th November and July 2026. As these planets move so slowly, their influence may not be noticed in a specific event but in the general quality of life, and a harmonious aspect between these two great planets can bring a beneficial influence for humanity. Uranus is the god of the sky who is associated with shocking changes and revolution, Neptune the god of the ocean is associated with spirituality and illusion. This aspect can inspire a new level of authentic, metaphysical understanding. 

Saturn briefly transits Aries from 25th May - 1st September before settling in Aries from February 2026. Saturn is in fall in Aries so this can be a difficult period for Saturnian topics. It indicates that established structures and rules may be overturned for better or worse. Saturn in Aries can indicate new dangers related to fire, heat and sandy places. 

From June we can look forward to a deeper connection with our sense of self purpose as Jupiter transits Cancer from 9th June - 30th June 2026. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer which means he will be acting in his most authentic self, and allow us to access the desirable qualities of Jupiter more easily. Jupiter is the Guru and inspires a wider perspective, deeper meaning and wisdom. The opportunity to expand your consciousness is ripe now. This is also a fertile period where many people can conceive a child. 

The outlook for 2025 is remarkably polar. There will be great opportunity for growth but the challenge will be doing so without a strong foundation in place first. Gifts and blessings may come to us but we may not feel ready to accept them. Previews of the changes to come will be speckled throughout the year as we gradually enter the age of Air.
